Jurist David Brashear, Director, Muscarelle Museum of Art, said: "Composition is as important in absract art as it is in represntational art, and this work scores well on the balance of both color and forms, bringing relationships to the patches and strokes of red, white, blue, and black, and adding texture through the incoerporation fo the collaged 'Marys'."
